If you’re calm, steady, and grounded, you may lean toward Kapha dosha. Kapha is linked with earth and water; it provides stability and endurance, but when out of balance can show up as sluggishness, congestion, or low mood. The key is to choose light, warming, and energising foods that keep things moving.
🌱 Foods That Support Kapha
Fruits: Apples, pears, berries, pomegranates — ideally eaten fresh.
Vegetables: Leafy greens, peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, and sprouts.
Grains: Barley, buckwheat, millet, and rye are lighter options.
Proteins: Legumes like lentils and beans; lighter dairy or small amounts of tofu.
Drinks: Warming teas (ginger, black pepper, clove), green tea, or warm lemon water.
Spices: Stimulating spices like turmeric, ginger, mustard seed, black pepper, and chili (in moderation).
🌍 Foods to Enjoy Less Often (Kapha Aggravators)
Heavy foods: Excess dairy, fried foods, and creamy dishes can create sluggishness.
Sweet foods: Too much sugar or desserts add to Kapha’s natural heaviness.
Cold foods: Ice cream, cold milk, or iced drinks dampen digestion.
Excess salt: Can cause water retention and lethargy.
🥗 The Guideline
Kapha thrives on variety, stimulation, and a bit of spice. Think vibrant stir-fries, warming teas, and lighter meals that leave you feeling uplifted rather than weighed down.
